Well we were back on the road today. Even though we had two years off it didn't take too long to get back into the swing of things. We decided to take the Interstate because we were concerned about traffic on Route 2 as well as all of the fires currently burning in Eastern Washington. Although we never saw any fires, as soon as we got over Snoqualmie Pass we could smell smoke and then around Ellensburg and Vantage there were significant amounts of smoke in the air. It would be difficult to live sround there.
We arrived in Sandpoint, ID in plenty of time to attend mass at St. Joseph church. The church appears to be very new and was very nice - although not very well attended.
We are having some computer glitches so I have left off the temperature and elevation graph as well as some of the statistics from the maps for the time being. When I used RoboGEO to build the Google Map and then view the map page on this computer, although the map showed up, the track log was missing. I spent hours trying to figure out what was going on until I finally realized (the following day) that, although the track log doesn't show up on the computer, once I uploaded the map with the track log to my host site, the map and track log show up fine in any browser. I still don't understand why but will proceed without understanding this - for the time being. I will understand it eventually.
