Sturgis 2021 - Day 10
Today was our last full day in Sturgis. We did our last ride today as we rode with Mike and Karin to Devil's Tower National Monument.
Unlike the last time we rode there from Sturgis, there really weren't
any bikes either on the road or at the monument. Many folks have either
left or are packing up and last time we went there was on Wyoming Wednesday
when there were lines of bikes miles long all heading to Devil's Tower.
Most of the riders last time didn't even go to the monument. You can
see it easily from the Devil's Tower Trading Post
so not much reason to spend the money to drive all the way to the
visitor's center at the base of the tower. Mike and Karin have a
season's pass and we have a lifetime pass so we drove to the base of
the tower for a few photo ops.
Mark left this afternoon
since he had to ride to Rapid City and catch a plane to Atlanta the
next morning where he was setting up and manning a booth in a trade
show for his employer.
In the evening we went to an actual
restaurant along with the rest of the group. We weren't too worried
since there was only a few others in the restaurant and distancing was
no problem.
