As you can see, the logger worked just fine today with the original SD
Card. I'm beginning to think it's an intermittent break in the cable
connecting the logger to the main board. This is a cable I made and
will probable just make a new one.
After
yesterday's temperature and looking at the weather for today, we
decided to get a little earlier start to see if we can beat the late
afternoon heat. This seemed to work - to a point. We did manage to stay
below 100 (just barely) and got in around 2:30 with the time zone
change. We spent the entire day on I 84 and the skies were pretty hazy
all day. At one point we saw a sign warning about a wild fire ahead and
we smelled the fire but never actually saw anything.
We are
at a Holiday Inn Express in Pendleton tonight and the WiFi is really
sketchy. These days there's just no excuse for bad WiFi, especially for
a hotel charging upwards of $200 a night. Maybe I'll leave a review
when we leave tomorrow.
We head for home tomorrow morning. I
will definitely turn on the air conditioning before we get home
tomorrow afternoon. I checked and the temperature in our bedroom is 87
degrees - way too hot for sleeping.
