Bismarck 2024 - Day 13
As you have probably noticed, we had no temperature log today. I think
I know what's going on now and will discuss the problem further in the
Wrap Up.
We
stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night and it didn't meet our
expectations. The WiFi was terrible. It would randomly disconnect and
reconnect on our various devices. In fact I couldn't upload the Day 12
pages with their WiFi. I had to turn on 5G on my phone, turn on the hot
spot feature, and then attach the computer to the hot spot and upload
that way. On top of that they had these nice chairs but it looked like
the casters had been removed so it was difficult to move them to get
them in position to work at the desk. The other thing was that there
were 3 bath towels in the bathroom. Two were fine but the third one
should have been retired a long time ago - you could almost see through
it.
We set out around 8:30 and the temperature was already
heating up. We basically followed I-84 to I-82 to I-90 - a route we
have taken many times before. We stopped in Ellensburg for our last gas
stop and then the Indian John Hill Rest Area for lunch. All was fine
until we got to the Auburn exit from I-90. From there we encountered
the worst traffic of the entire trip. You have to love Seattle traffic.
We finally arrived home around 3:00.
