Well it looks like the logging saga continues. I plugged in the new SD card today but got no logging. Not sure what the problem is but it may be with my wiring. I'll worry about it when we get home. I may just buy a commercial logger, since I first built mine, there are several very nice ones available and they are really cheap.

On the bright side I found that I could use GPS Visualizer to create very nice elevation plots from my phones GPX data. I'm currently just using the default plot data but there are a lot more options to try out.

We delayed a little leaving the hotel this morning because the temperature got down to 45 last night. I think we left around 9:30 but the temperature went up pretty quickly. By the end of the ride I was reading 105 and, when we went out to dinner, one of the local signs was reading 109. That's really too hot. Yesterday we got stopped for a little while for bison crossing the road, today it was horses.

We only made one stop today and that was at Craters of the Moon National Monument. We viewed a short video about volcanoes at the Visitor Center and rode the 7 mile loop road through the park. We did not even attempt to hike. It was too hot and we were not dressed for it.

We had planned to visit Shoshone Falls, billed as Niagara of the West, on the way into Twin Falls but again - too hot. After dinner we took the short 6 mile ride to the falls and it was very impressive. We did get a few pictures here and here.

It looks like tomorrow will be a hot one, We are staying in Pendleton tomorrow night and may try to leave a little early to avoid the late afternoon heat.
