It was pretty cool going over Snoqualamie pass this morning but we
assumed it would warm up once we were over the pass - it did not. In
fact, it started raining in Ellensburg and probably rained for another
hour or so. It finally stopped and we were able to stop at a rest area
for lunch. We actually considered taking off the rain gear but decided
to keep it on since we were not going to overheat. This ended up being
a good decision because it started raining again shortly after and
rained all the way into La Grande. If weather reports can be believed,
we should be good for at least the next week or so - we can only hope.
Unfortunately,
while the repairs I made to the cruise control helped, they still
didn't completely solve the problem. It can work great for a long
distance and then turns off for no discernible reason. This is a really
difficult problem to troubleshoot because it is so random and there are
so many conditions that can cause the cruise to drop out. Every time I
think I have working theory (and there are many), something happens
that seems to disprove the theory. Some things never end.
