2019 Trip - Day 12
Today was a miserable ride sandwiched by two very nice rides. This
morning we road 93 and MT 200 out of Missoula. Route 93 was little busy
but not bad. MT 200 was a nice scenic ride but then we took Montana
Secondary Highway 471 in Montana and Idaho FN 9 in Idaho. This was a
beautiful ride - no traffic and great scenery with a few nice twists
and turns. The we hit I-90 which was miserable - heavy traffic and
everyone weaving in and out of lanes trying to gain a few seconds. We
were on I-90 from a little before Coeur d'Alene to a little after
Spokane. I don't care if I ever ride that section of road again.
After
leaving I-90 we road Routes 2, 28, and 17 to Moses Lake. Again,
although it was pretty hot, the roads were almost empty and very
pleasant.
We spent the night in Moses Lake and will head for
home tomorrow vis Route 2 since we have not done Stevens Pass in a long
time. We also miss the northbound Friday afternoon traffic on I-405.
