National Parks 2010 - Day15
We have a slight change of plans today - we're heading for home.
We finished what we set out to do - visit some of the national
parks that we have missed west of the Mississippi - and we're tired.
Well, to be honest, I'm tired. I think the sun and the heat
and the seemingly endless roads the last few day have taken their toll.
It's time to get home and rest up for another trip another day.
So
we headed north on route 93 out of Ely this morning through Jackpot, NV
and on to Twin Falls, ID. We then picked up I-84 through Idaho
and into Oregon and on to Baker City. We decided that we went
through more construction today than the whole rest of the trip up to
today. The worst was outside of Boise where we were backed up and
stop and go for several miles. The only saving grace was that the
sun was finally behind the clouds so it wasn't as bad as it could have
been.
Tomorrow we should easily get back to Everett although
it looks like we will get our first rain in 11 or 12 days. I
guess that's just part of living in this part of the country.
