Most of the ride today followed the reverse of the route we took on day
3 to Moab. The
first third or so followed US 6 which also overlayed I-70 and US 191.
When
we left Fruita there were two traffic circles with metal sculptures
that were pretty cool. Linda got pictures of several of them. You can
more about them here. Once we got to Spanish Fork, we started the
boring part of the ride - I-75 from Provo through Salt Lake City and
then on to Tremonton. In Tremonton we picked up I-84 to Rupert and
Burley. We had to make sure we had a full tank leaving Tremonton
because I'm not sure there was anything for the next 75 or so miles.
Speaking
of filling up, we were much more careful about gas along US 6. US 6 is
where we had to stop for gas on the trip down here and had to pay
$5.999. On the way home, the price was up to $6.399. so being careful
was a good choice.
Tomorrow it's on to Kennewick, WA and then home the following day.
