We're down to the final leg of the journey. Today's ride was 463 miles which is the longest day we have had in quite a while. It actually went pretty well. The weather started out on the cool side but eventually warmed right up. We had a few cooler dips in the temperature when we went over a pass like the Continental Divide. We got a few rain drops going over the Divide but not enough to even get wet. We were on I-90 the entire day and traffic was  only slightly heavy when we went through population centers like Butte or Missoula.

The scenery was pretty plain with the exception of the last stretch of I-90 in Montana and all of Idaho so far. Still more construction but nothing that really slowed us down since no one was working over the weekend.

There must have been some kind of motorcycle event going on because we saw a lot of motorcycles heading east today - no idea what or where. We also saw a lot of campers, motor homes, and just vehicles loaded down with recreation stuff.

We are staying at Fairbridge Inn and Suites which sounds more prestigious than it actually is. It's clean and comfortable but probably the most expensive room we have had in quite a while. When we started looking for rooms we totally forgot about this being a holiday weekend and Idaho a mecca for outdoor activities. We saw this in the price of even middle level rooms.

Home tomorrow.
